Overview

This was a real-world project for a finnish healthcare provider we worked with during the course. Collaborating with professionals from healthcare, computer science and medicine we worked to improve the care experience from the business side.

The challenge was improving the utilization rate of doctor’s consultation rooms from the employer’s perspective.

Through user interviews, we discovered the root cause was actually the employee experience, specifically for the "Medical Admin" role. They were overwhelmed by a fragmented ecosystem of tools. Internal tools were neglected because they no longer aligned with updated processes, forcing staff into inefficient manual work. We validated that data could flow between existing systems. We designed a prototype that consolidated functionalities from multiple sources into a single platform already familiar to all stakeholders. I led client-facing communication and facilitated stakeholder workshops. Managed the end-to-end process of organizing and conducting user interviews.
